Her owner, who was supposed to care for her and love her, left her all alone at a place where people go to eat fast food. Imagine being left all alone in a place where you don’t belong!
Feeling scared and alone, Kisses didn’t know what to do. She found a small space near a trash room to hide. She hoped that someone kind would find her and take her to a safe place.
Not far away, there were two kind-hearted people named JoAnn and Alex. They worked for a group called Hope For Paws, which helps dogs like Kisses find new homes. One day, they got a call about a scared Pittie hiding behind a dumpster. They knew they had to help.
When JoAnn and Alex arrived, they saw Kisses. She was so scared that she was shaking and tried to hide even more. They saw that she was hurt and needed help. So, they gave her some food, and slowly, Kisses started to trust them. Her tail began to wag, and she looked at them with big, hopeful eyes.
At first, Kisses was too scared to move, but JoAnn and Alex were very gentle. They put a leash around her and gave her lots of hugs. They even rubbed her belly, which made her feel safe. Kisses started to feel a little better, and she gave them the sweetest doggy kisses.
JoAnn and Alex took Kisses to a place where dogs are taken care of. They gave her a bath, which made her feel fresh and clean. After the bath, Kisses was so happy that she covered Alex’s face with even more kisses!
Soon, Kisses moved to a special place called The Pits Dog Rescue. This place was in a city called San Diego, and it was very nice. They started looking for a special home for Kisses, where she could be loved and cared for.
There was a kind lady named Lori who saw a video of Kisses. She fell in love with her right away and decided to take her home. Lori and her family gave Kisses a warm welcome. They played with her, gave her lots of cuddles, and even held hands with her. Kisses felt so happy and safe with them.
