Have you ever seen a dog that looks like a werewolf? Well, Momo is one of them. He’s a very special dog with a condition called short spine syndrome. This makes his spine look different from other dogs.
Short spine syndrome is super rare. Only about 20 dogs in the whole world have it. Imagine that! Momo was found outside a shelter in Houston, Texas.
Nobody knows where he came from or what his past was like. Luckily, Momo got the help he needed. Volunteers at the shelter asked Houston K911 Rescue for help. They’re really good at taking care of dogs with special needs. One of their foster parents, who has been helping dogs for ten years, decided to take care of Momo.
Momo is a sweetheart. He’s been treated for heartworms, and he’s now healthy and happy. He’s ready to find his forever home. He’s got a unique personality. He loves playing with toys, and he’s clever too. Since he can’t scratch himself easily, he’s learned to use door jambs and chair legs to itch his back.
Despite his condition, Momo gets along well with other dogs. He’s patient and kind, especially with little puppies. Having Momo around has been a real joy for his foster parent and the other dogs.
