This dog may not be a dentist’s dream, But she does the best dinner twirls!

Once upon a time, there was a dog named Coco. She didn’t have the bravest past, but she lived like royalty. Hi, I’m Lori, and I’m here to share Coco’s story with you.

I first saw Coco in a photo, and her smile captured my heart. She looked like a cartoon character, especially when she knew it was mealtime. Coco had a special dance she did—a ballerina twirl straight to her food bowl. It was like she was gliding on ice until she reached her destination.

Coco had tiny legs, almost like a hippo’s body. Some people even mistook her for a pot-bellied pig! But she was indeed a dog, found as a stray. She ended up in a shelter until two rescues teamed up to bring her to Northern California.

After a year in a loving foster home, Coco became part of our family. Despite her rough start, she was gentle, quiet, and loving. She had two bulldog sisters who could be a bit rude, but Coco always stayed sweet and patient.

Coco had endured neglect and had been bred multiple times before finding her forever home. Now, she enjoys her own sun deck with a view of the mountains. When she sees her harness, she does her twirl dance, eager for her walk.

Our walks may not cover much ground, but they’re filled with peace and quiet. Coco loves standing in the middle of a vast field, taking in her surroundings. I often wonder what she’s thinking as she looks around.

Living in a pocket of tranquility in Los Angeles County, Coco gets to experience the beauty of nature every day. And I make sure to remind her how much she’s loved, multiple times a day.

Coco brings so much joy into our lives, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her. She may not be a dentist’s dream, but she’s certainly our dream dog. So here’s to more twirls, more walks, and more love with Coco.

Yes, Coco, let’s go get yourself some treats. You deserve every bit of it.
